IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE NEW VOTER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Dear AAHOA Member,

Even though the memories of the 2009 AAHOA Annual Convention & Trade Show are still fresh in our minds, it is already time to think ahead to the 2010 Annual Convention & Trade Show in Chicago, Illinois on June 16–19, 2010. As in past years, we will be holding elections for open positions on the Board of Directors. In 2010, the elections will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010.

In order to ensure that you are eligible to vote, we wanted to notify you that the voter eligibility requirements have changed under the new AAHOA policies and procedures as set forth below, and give you ample opportunity to comply with these new requirements.

FOR THE 2010 ELECTIONS, in order to be eligible to vote, you must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. You must pay your 2009 dues on or before Thursday, November 19, 2009 (which is seven months prior to the election date of June 19, 2010);
  2. You must renew your 2010 membership dues on or before sixty (60) days before the election date, i.e., on or before Tuesday, April 20, 2010; and
  3. You must be a member in good standing and at least 18 years old.

FOR ALL SUBSEQUENT ELECTIONS, the following requirements will apply:

  1. You must pay your dues on or before six (6) months prior to the scheduled election date;
  2. You must renew your membership dues for the election year at least sixty (60) days before the scheduled election date; and
  3. You must be a member in good standing and at least 18 years old.

Please mark your calendars NOW with these new deadlines, so you will be eligible to vote and can elect the future leaders of this great association.
