General Information
A group of Indian hoteliers joined together in Atlanta in 1989, with
the goals of facing discrimination and increasing awareness of Asian
Americans in the hospitality industry. This group was called the Asian
American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA). Since 1989, AAHOA membership
has increased significantly, and today, Asian Americans constitute one
of the largest forces in the hospitality industry.
AAHOA's goals include advocacy initiatives and educational
opportunities to help Asian Americans continue to succeed. Our
organization has outstanding programs and people and is doing important
work, but much work remains to be done. Significant progress requires
significant support. AAHOA can only continue to answer
the challenges of the hospitality industry with the continued
support of our members, sponsors, and vendor partners.
