AAHOA Recognizes Award Winners at its 2010 Annual Convention (Jul 1, 2010)

ATLANTA. July 1, 2010 -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), one of the leading forces in the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that its 2010 AAHOA Annual Convention & Trade Show at Navy Pier in Chicago, Ill., was a complete success. AAHOA would like to recognize the following award recipients, who were recognized on stage at the event:

AAHOA Elects New Board Members at the 2010 Annual Convention (Jun 22, 2010)

ATLANTA, June 22, 2010 – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), one of the leading forces in the hospitality industry, recently held its 2010 AAHOA Annual Convention & Trade Show at Navy Pier in Chicago, Ill. The elections for the open positions on the 2010 AAHOA Board of Directors were held on Saturday, June 19, and AAHOA members elected Mehul B. “Mike” Patel, CHA as the association’s newest Secretary. Prior to his election as Secretary, Mehul Patel served as North Texas Regional Director for AAHOA.

AAHOA Applauds U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson’s (R-SC) Decision to Condemn the Racial Comments of South Carolina State Sen. Jake Knotts Against Rep. Nikki Haley (Jun 11, 2010)

ATLANTA, June 11, 2010 – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), one of the nation’s largest associations of hotel owners, with 10,000 members who own 20,000 hotels, which is more than 40 percent of all hotels in the United States, applauds the decision of U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) to condemn the racial slurs made by South Carolina State Senator John “Jake” Knotts (R-Dist. 23) against Representative Nikki Haley, who is a candidate in the South Carolina gubernatorial race this fall. Congressman Wilson, a longtime supporter of AAHOA and the Indian American community, has also withdrawn his endorsement of Sen. Knotts.

Nikki Haley in her campaign to be the next Governor of South Carolina.

June 9, 2010 – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), one of the nation’s largest associations of hotel owners with more than 10,000 members who own 20,000 hotels, which is more than 40 percent of all of the hotels in the United States, is endorsing physician Ami Bera in his Congressional campaign to serve the Third District of California in the U.S. House of Representatives.

AAHOA Announces a Press Conference to Showcase the Release of the 2010 Progress Report on Franchising in the Lodging Industry (Jun 8, 2010)

ATLANTA. June 8, 2010 -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), one of the leading forces in the hospitality industry, today announced that it will host a press conference to showcase the release of its much-anticipated 2010 Progress Report on franchising. AAHOA Ardently Endorses Rep. Nikki Haley as the Next Governor of South Carolina (Jun 1, 2009)

This afternoon the Board of Directors of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) unanimously approved the endorsement and financial support of South Carolina State Rep. Nimrata “Nikki” Haley (R-Lexington) in her bid to become the next Governor of the state. Rep. Haley is seeking the Republican nomination in the upcoming primary race. She joins a slate of other high-profile GOP candidates, including a variety of elected and state officials with widespread name recognition, who have announced or are expected to compete in the primary for the gubernatorial election.
