The Asian American Hotel Owners Association, Inc. (AAHOA) has created
this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to
privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and
dissemination practices for this website and our organization.
Collection and Use of Information.
AAHOA may provide on its website or in publications certain membership
application forms, registration forms, order forms, and other requests
for information. Such requests may require you to give us contact
information (like your name and email address), financial information
(like your credit card numbers), and demographic information (like your
address, zip code or regional preferences). We use contact information
from such forms to send you information about our organization, or other
member organizations, and may allow other member organizations to do the
same. We use the contact information to deliver products and
services. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the
user for products and services ordered. Membership information is
used in accordance with our membership agreements and bylaws.
Member's contact information is also used to contact the individual when
necessary. A member's name and address is made available to other
members in a contact list. Select members may have access to
additional contact information such as telephone numbers, facsimile
numbers and e-mail addresses. From time to time, AAHOA may make
contact information available to third parties to allow such third
parties to send communications that may be of interest to you.
Members control whether or not their name is included on our contact
list made available to members or other third parties. Users may opt-out

IP Address, Cookies and Other Technology.
We use your Internet Protocol (IP) address to help diagnose problems
with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address is used
to gather broad demographic information. We use cookies and other
technology to record session information and to track a user's path
through our websites. This enables us to respond to any problems with
our service and to offer a more personalized service.

This site contains links to other sites. AAHOA is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such
websites.
Partner.
Our site is developed, hosted and maintained by a third party who has
access to all information on this site. This third party is responsible
for maintaining the privacy described in this statement on behalf of
AAHOA. The third party retains no rights or privileges associated with
the information (i.e. cannot distribute, sell, exchange the information

Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact information (like their

This site makes forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to

Members who are the individuals designated by their company as being in
charge of their company’s membership in AAHOA may not opt out of
communications, as receiving this information is an integral part of
membership. Such individuals should contact their member companies
if they do not wish to serve in this role.
Other Laws.
Pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, residents of
California have the right to request from a business, with whom the
California resident has an established business relationship, certain
information regarding the types of personal information the business
shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes by such third
party, and the identities of the third parties with whom the business
has shared such information during the immediately preceding calendar
year. To see a copy of the information disclosure provided by
AAHOA pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, please
contact AAHOA using one of the methods described above. You and
AAHOA may have other rights and obligations rights and obligations under
the various laws governing privacy and personal information.
Receipt of Revenues.
From time to time, AAHOA may enter into agreements with other members or
partners, or with third parties, vendors or suppliers, that seek to
provide products or services to AAHOA members. In connection with
such agreements, AAHOA may receive revenues, funds, commissions, or
marketing or promotional allowances, if AAHOA members purchase products
or services from such other members, partners, third parties, vendors or
suppliers. Any revenues, funds, commissions, or marketing or
promotional allowances received by AAHOA from such other members,
partners, third parties, vendors or suppliers shall be utilized for the
benefit of AAHOA members, including to offset the costs of the
educational and professional development programs and seminars offered
by AAHOA, and various advocacy efforts being undertaken by AAHOA, on an
annual basis. By becoming a member of AAHOA, this will confirm
that you acknowledge and agree that AAHOA may receive revenues, funds,
commissions, or marketing or promotional allowances, if AAHOA members
purchase products or services from such other members, partners, third
parties, vendors or suppliers, and have no objection to AAHOA using the
revenues for the benefit of AAHOA members.
Additional Terms and Conditions.
Our members or visitors to this website may be required to agree to or
sign non-disclosure agreements, license agreements, terms of use, and
other terms and conditions, as a condition of visiting the website or
receiving products and services from AAHOA. In the event of any
conflict with such other terms and conditions and this Privacy Policy,
such other terms and conditions shall prevail.
Notification of Changes.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on
our website so our users are always aware of what information we
collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in
a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we
will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to
whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We
will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which
the information was collected.
