State Capitol Hill Advocacy Days

This year, AAHOA's Government Affairs team will facilitate 26 State Capitol Advocacy Days throughout the country. During these legislative days, AAHOA members convene at their state capitals to meet with their State Representatives and State Senators to discuss crucial issues facing American hoteliers. In most states, AAHOA coordinates these visits with the state lodging association.

Similar to the FNAC and LAS, these advocacy events are another opportunity for AAHOA members to engage with elected officials, as well as promote our association to a global audience. Be sure to watch for news on your state's advocacy day!

Small Delegation Meetings

Every month, AAHOA asks 4-5 members from a specific state or region of a state- a Small Delegation- to come to Washington, DC, for a full day of meetings with their federal elected officials on Capitol Hill.

Instituted in 2013, these advocacy events were created so that AAHOA Members could maintain relationships with elected officials throughout the year, and were designed to mirror national fly-ins on a more targeted level.

AAHOA has placed a premium on building long-lasting relationships and inspiring political and civic engagement. Monthly Small Delegation Meetings are your opportunity to continue the great work that you do at FNAC, LAS, or and/or your State Capitol Hill Day! To learn more, please contact brian@aahoa.com.
