Atlanta, GA – On November 4, 2009, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), the world’s largest association of hotel owners, achieved a new milestone by registering more than 10,000 members who own 22,000 hotels, which is forty percent of all hotels in the United States. Recognized as the voice of hotel owners in the hospitality industry, AAHOA continues to stand firm for its members, and has taken a strong stance on important issues involving the online travel agencies (OTAs) that provide booking services for the industry. U.S. Senator Dodd Announces His Appointment at AAHOA Convention
|
Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) officially announced that he has been appointed as the Democratic Co-Chair of the U.S. Senate India Caucus during the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. This strategic appointment was made by the Republican Co-Chair and Caucus Founder Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), because the prior Democratic Co-Chair Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) was recently appointed to serve as the U.S. Secretary of State. AAHOA recently held its 2009 Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. The election for the open positions on the 2009 AAHOA Board of Directors was held on Saturday, April 25, and AAHOA members elected Alkesh R. “Al” Patel, CHO as the association’s newest Secretary. Prior to this election, Al Patel served as Northwest Regional Director for the Board since 2002. [Read more]

AAHOA Applauds The Historic Ratification Of The U.S.-India Nuclear Agreement

Atlanta, GA – October 2, 2008 – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) commends the U.S. Congress for its historic approval of Section 123 of the U.S. Atomic Energy Act, also known as the 123 Agreement. Passage of the 123 Agreement will not only allow India to reduce its dependence on foreign oil, but will solidify a new era in the burgeoning relationship between the United States and India – the world’s oldest and largest democracies.
