Today, AAHOA officially submitted written comments to the
Federal Trade Commission (FTC). For months the
FTC has “launched a proceeding to challenge bogus money-making claims used to lure consumers, workers, and prospective entrepreneurs into risky business ventures that often turn into dead-end debt traps.” Please find an excerpt from the letter below.
“AAHOA commends the FTC for drawing attention to the issue of misleading earnings claims of franchised businesses. Franchised businesses constitute the vast majority of AAHOA Member-owned properties,” penned Neal Patel, AAHOA Chairman.
