Attention Florida AAHOA Members! This is your last chance to make your voice heard and bring meaningful, positive change to our industry. We need you to write your legislator and ask them to add Data Transparency language to HB 833 on Vacation Rentals.

This language is important to help local governments by requiring platforms to periodically report the addresses of units listed as vacation rentals on their platforms to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).

This added language would allow for full and accurate auditing of vacation rental licensure and transactions from the Florida DBPR and Florida Department of Revenue (DOR). 

Did you know:

• A single vacation rental license number may apply to as many as 75 different units.
• An advertising platform may currently remit taxes on thousands of vacation rentals using the platform’s single Florida tax registration number.

Contact your State Representative now and ask them to add Data Transparency to HB 833!
