Two new surveys by P&G Professional, the
away-from-home division of P&G, reveal that cleaning and disinfection
are at the top of the list of importance to travelers and diners as
businesses continue reopening in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The surveys revealed:
- 57% of guests expect more transparency around what hotels are
doing to keep guests safe and rooms clean, both in person and on
the company website
- 67% of guests expect to see more thorough and frequent cleaning
and 61% expect to see more visible methods of cleaning, like
pamphlets and signage.
- Cleanliness and housekeeping procedures were ranked as the most
important attributes for hotel guests, surpassing both the price
of the room and location of the hotel.
- 70% of travelers say they would be more likely to pick a hotel
room if they knew the business was using a personally
recognizable and trusted brand of cleaning products.
