State law mandates that all Florida lodging establishments provide annual human trafficking awareness training for housekeeping and front desk employees.
Here is what you need to know to comply:
All housekeeping and front desk employees must be given annual training regarding human trafficking awareness.
Your business must keep a signed, dated acknowledgment of training by each trained employee. This acknowledgment may be kept in electronic form and must be made available to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation upon request.
You must implement a procedure to report suspected human trafficking to either local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888 or here.)
You must post a human trafficking public awareness sign in a conspicuous location that is accessible to employees, which is:
At least 11 inches by 15 inches in size,
Printed in at least 32-point type, and
In both English and Spanish
