AAHOA
Culture
AAHOA’s workplace culture is based on respect for coworkers and for AAHOA Members. Employees work closely together to build an association that they can be proud to work for – and that members can be proud to join. We are a small, but mighty team. Our Team at AAHOA works the magic, together, behind the scenes. It’s no wonder our President and CEO coined the term: Team AAHOA. We’re a roll up your sleeves, meme-sending, birthday shout-out giving team.
AAHOA employs nearly 40 people in Atlanta, GA, and Washington, D.C., to help fulfill its mission to advance and protect the business interests of hotel owners through advocacy, industry leadership, professional development, member benefits, and community engagement – and continually seeks talented people to join its team.
AAHOA
History
We were founded in 1989 when Asian American hoteliers faced discrimination for simply being a minority. We have since grown to represent people from all walks of life, but what hasn’t changed is that we pride ourselves on diversity and inclusion.
AAHOA's
Team Mission
At AAHOA, we are a team of hospitality industry professionals dedicated to providing world-class service to the 20,000 hotel owners across the United States. Our members own and operate 34,260 hotels in the U.S., representing 3.1 million guestrooms, and they employ more than a million people.

The hotel industry is fast-paced and fast-changing – influenced by the state of travel and tourism in the United States, which encompases leisure and business travel. As in every industry, AAHOA Members value proposition is constantly being challenged by innovation, which means that it requires AAHOA and its team of dedicated professionals to be nimble and capable of anticipating needs in the context of a changing industry.

"After facing a tragedy in my life, I took a break from working and I knew when I entered back into the workforce, I needed a company that was “family-oriented” and believes in community. I found just that when I started my employment with AAHOA. I stay at AAHOA because of my team members, AAHOA members, and the leadership that truly understands and supports me, not only professionally but personally."
Sherry Love,
