Am I eligible to vote?

To be eligible to vote on April 4, 2024, a member must have become a Lifetime Member on or before December 31, 2023, OR have paid their annual membership dues in two of the last three calendar years AND renewed their annual membership for 2024 on or before February 19, 2024, to be a paid member at the time of election.

Why do we need a unique mobile number and email on file in MyAAHOA.com?

This is important because this information will be the same as we use during the credentialing process to verify your identity. If your information in MyAAHOA doesn’t match what you use for the Voatz app, you will experience delays in the credentialing process.

How do I vote?

The 2024 AAHOA Elections process is completely online! To participate in the voting process, you’ll need to ensure you’re eligible to vote, and have a valid and unique email address and mobile phone number on file in MyAAHOA.com (which means no sharing of email addresses or mobile numbers within households, including spouses or businesses), and have access to a smartphone where you can download the voting app, Voatz.

Available for both iPhone and Android, you can now download the Voatz app to your smartphone so you're ready for the credentialing process, which will begin on March 1 and close on March 29.

Note: For those who have previously used Voatz, please use the same account info and don’t try to create multiple Voatz accounts.

Before the elections, review the candidates and positions , and be available to cast your vote via your smartphone on Thursday, April 4,between 11 a.m and 5 p.m. EDTvia their smartphones using the Voatz App. 

*Pursuant to AAHOA Policy 12.06(e)(ii), polls will open immediately following the Secretary debate, and times published are approximate. Tune in to the debate LIVE on AAHOA's YouTube channel or attend in person at the Orange County Convention Center, and be prepared to cast your ballot immediately after the debate concludes.

Do I have to register for AAHOACON24 to vote?

No, but we would like to still host you in Orlando in April! We’re bringing together great minds from throughout the industry to help hotel owners navigate our new normal. Registration for AAHOACON24 is open, so  register today .

Who are the candidates and for which positions?

To learn more about the candidates who will appear on the ballot, click here . Each candidate will have an opportunity to speak to eligible voters at AAHOACON24, and candidates for Secretary will participate in a debate.

How will I get the ballot?

Stay tuned for more instructions on how to complete the credentialing process, then to later securely access the ballot and cast your vote(s) via your smartphone on Thursday, April 4,between 11 a.m and 5 p.m. EDT via their smartphones using the Voatz App.

What happens if I miss the credentialing window?

If you do NOT complete the credentialing process within the specified timeframe, you WILL NOT be able to participate in the 2024 AAHOA Elections.

Can more than one person vote from a smart device?

No. Only one ballot can be cast per smart device, meaning that you cannot share devices to cast your ballot in the 2024 AAHOA Elections.

I'm attending AAHOACON24. Can I use AAHOA-provided devices to cast my ballot in person?

No. All eligible voters must use their own smart device to cast their ballot, whether attending AAHOACON24 in Orlando, FL, or casting their ballot from a different location. AAHOA will NOT be providing devices on-site.

When will the election results be announced?

Election results will be announced live from Orlando, FL, on Friday, April 5, between 1:30-2:00 P.M. EDT, via AAHOA social media channels.
